Product Description AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017 brings advanced 3D design to plant designers and engineers. Features like specification-driven design and standard parts catalogs help users place piping, equipment, and support structures more efficiently. Integrated AutoCAD P&ID functionality helps users to create and edit piping and instrumentation diagrams and reconcile underlying data with the 3D model. 
What’s New P&ID Drawings and Painter Making OPC (Off-page connector) connections is now easier and more reliable. You can no longer connect to an unassigned line. This prevents accidentally modifying the line tag in another drawing.  
Pulled Pipe Bends Piping modellers can now choose to route Pulled Pipe Bends as pipe and include bend material in BOM’s as a length of pipe rather than a Pipe Bend fitting. This new control can be configured from within Project Setup. Navigate to Plant 3D DWG Settings, Pipe Bend Settings. 
Multiport Valves Multi-port (hygienic multi-level) valves are broadly used by food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries are now supported. Valves and compatible piping are available from content packs in the Autodesk App Store. Isometric Improvements (Isos) You can now create a new Iso Style by Specifications and catalogs-Spec-driven technology and standard parts catalogs. Isometric reference dimensions allow you to document objects in the 3D model that are not part of the pipe line in Iso drawings. 
Persistent Break Points (Repeatability) AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017 allows you to save the break points from the Iso drawing into the 3D model. This allows you to adjust the model and know that only certain sheets need to be updated. 
Project Setup UI Additional options are available in Project Setup that previously required advanced configuration. 
New Ribbon New Vault Options dialog box has been added. Autodesk Vault Client has moved to a new Admin pane.
